Characteristics

Leaves 2.5–3.5 x 0.3–0.8 cm., narrowly elliptic to oblong-lanceolate, acute at the apex, narrowed to sessile base, pubescent on both sides, with longer hairs on mid-rib beneath and short ones rendering margins rough; stipule bases 2.5–3 mm. long, densely pubescent, with 7–9 linear-lanceolate fimbriae 1–3.5 mm. long.

Flowers in dense clusters 1–1.5 cm, wide at apical 4–5 nodes, mostly well-separated but first 2 approximate on one shoot (possibly separating later?); bracteoles c. 3 mm. long, ciliate.
Corolla colour unknown, probably white; tube 8.5–10 mm. long, very narrowly cylindrical, lobes 2.5 x 1 mm., oblong, hairy outside, the hairs longer and more setiform at apex.
Calyx tube 2.2 mm. long, pubescent on upper half; lobes 2, 5–7 x 1–1.5 mm. and perhaps larger, oblong-elliptic, pubescent Buds capitate, the limb distinctly pubescent.
Herb to 20 cm., well-branched; stems probably erect or ascending, densely pubescent with spreading hairs.
Capsule 3.5 x 2.5 mm., ellipsoid, pubescent above; immature seeds 2.5 x 1.1 mm.
Style exserted 1.5 mm.; stigma capitate.
Filaments exserted about 1.5 mm.
