Leaves petiolate; lamina 3·5–7·5 (11) × 1·7–5 (10) cm., ovate, ovate-subcircular or ovate-oblong, rarely oblong-elliptic, ovate-lanceolate or lanceolate, apex obtuse to acute, mostly distinctly apiculate, base subcordate to rounded or cuneate, greyish-or yellowish-sericeous-tomentose underneath, greyish-pubescent or arachnoid or glabrescent on the upper surface; petiole (0·5) 0·8–2·5 (4·5) cm. long, canaliculate, sericeous, with 2 glands in the upper half; stipules 2–4 mm. long, obovate, usually absent.
