Characteristics

Caespitose epiphytic herbs up to about 25 cm. tall. Secondary stems 2-12 cm. long, about as long as or shorter than the leaves. Leaves narrowed to a petiole at the base; lamina 2-12 cm. long and 2-7 mm. broad, linear-elliptic or linear-oblanceolate; petiole up to 4 cm. long, slender. Inflores-cence about as long as or exceed-ing the leaves in length. Sepals connate at the base for a short distance; dorsal sepal 2-3 mm. long and 0.75-1.5 mm. broad, lanceolate-oblong to obovate-ob-long, acute or obtuse; lateral sepals 1.7-2.5 mm. long and 1.2-1.5 mm. broad, ovate, acute or obtuse. Petals 0.5-0.7 mm. long and 0.4-0.5 mm. broad, suborbicular, apex truncate and thickened. Lip 0.6-0.75 mm. long and 0.3-0.6 mm. broad, rhombic to broadly ovate, thickened, excavate and concave in front, the basal half much thickened and the callus submammillate.
