Characteristics

Caespitose epiphytic herbs up to 45 cm. tall. Secondary stems 4-10 cm. long, sub-equal or shorter than the leaves. Leaves 5-16 cm. long and 1-2 cm. broad, elliptic-oblong to oblanceolate, attenuated into a petiole at the base, coriaceous. Inflorescence up to about 35 cm. long, much longer than the subtending leaf; bracts 2-3-mm. long, infundibuliform. Sepals 2-2.5 mm. long and 2-2.3 mm. broad, ovate to suborbicular, obtuse, densely glandular-pubescent within. Petals 0.8-1 mm. long and 1.5-1.75 mm. broad, cuneate-flabellate, fleshy, truncate. Lip 0.8-1 mm. long and 1-1.2 mm. broad, suborbicular or transversely subrhombic, callus-thickened in the middle and the basal part with a smaller spongy callus, the margins of the lip thin.
