Characteristics

Corolla white, 6–7.8 mm. long; tube 4–5.3 mm. long, subglabrous or with few short, glandular, hairs; upper lip 1.5 mm. long, lobes 0.45 x 0.4 mm., oblong; lower lip c. 2 mm. long, lateral lobes c. 1 mm. long broadly triangular, middle lobe c. 1 mm. long, rounded, densely papillose within.

Leaves petiolate, opposite; lamina elliptic to lanceolate-elliptic; 5–18 x 2–6 mm., obtuse apex, cuneate at base into the short petiole somewhat densely glandular, crenate, often obscurely so; petiole 1–1.5(2) mm. long.
Perennial herb 4–10 cm. tall with trailing branches up to 18 cm. long; stems tufted, quadrangular, much branched, moderately to densely short stipitate-glandular; branches terete.
Filaments of longer stamens 3.5 mm. long, curved not twisted; filaments of shorter stamens 1.8 mm. long, strict; staminode arising at base of corolla tube, c. 1.4 mm. long.
Capsule 5–7.5 mm. long including beak, up to c. 3.5 mm. broad, broadly ovoid, glabrous, brown, somewhat glossy.
Calyx 3–3.8 mm. long, lobes 2–3.2 mm. long, lanceolate, 1–1.3 mm. wide at base, glandular, subequal.
Pedicels 4.5–7.5 mm. long, glandular, recurved in fruit.
Bracteoles 2 mm. long, linear, glandular.
