Characteristics

Corolla white with pink to purple throat, up to 11 mm. long; tube 5.5–6.5 mm. long, c. 1.5 mm. wide at base widening to c. 3.5–4 mm. in diam. at mouth, sparsely pilose to subglabrous without; upper lip c. 3 mm. long, triangular-ovate, lower lip c. 4 x 4.5 mm., shortly trilobed, minutely pubescent within.

Perennial herb, somewhat shrubby, 2.5–15 cm. tall, procumbent, much branched with branches 4-angled, reaching 35 cm. long, vegetative parts and calyx densely covered with short, stiff, patent, white hairs.
Leaves petiolate; lamina ovate 5–18 x 2–18 mm., acute, cuneate at base, coarsely serrate-dentate; petiole 3–12 mm. long.
Capsule 4–5(9) mm. long including beak, pale brown, densely minutely pubescent to pubescent only in upper third.
Calyx (2)3–4.5 mm. long, lobes (1.8)2.3–3.2 mm. long, narrowly triangular to linear-triangular, subequal.
Pedicels 4–9 mm. long, filiform, decurved in fruit.
