Characteristics

Low, prostrate shrub to 10 cm high, with sparse, greyish or rusty, simple or stellate hairs on young stems. Leaves: lamina narrowly flabellate to almost linear, 4–12 mm long, 1–2 (–5) mm wide, narrowly cuneate base, revolute margin, emarginate apex, usually apiculate, smooth and glabrous to scabrid above, sparsely to densely silvery-villous with appressed hairs beneath; petiole 0.5–1.5 mm long; stipules triangular, 1–1.5 mm long, connate. Inflorescences to 1 cm wide, with 2–10 flowers. Flowers sparsely to densely greyish-pubescent with short appressed simple and/or stellate hairs. Hypanthium tube 0.3–0.5 mm long, 0.5–0.7 mm diam. Sepals 0.6–1 mm long. Petals 0.5–0.6 mm long, distinctly clawed. Disc conspicuous. Ovary roof stellate-hairy; style 0.5–0.9 mm long. Fruit 1.8–2.2 mm long. Seed 0.9–1.2 mm long.
