Characteristics

Prostrate shrub to 5 cm high, with densely grey-pubescent young stems. Leaves: lamina elliptic to obovate, 4–5 mm long, 2.5–3.5 mm wide, base cuneate, margin recurved, apex obtuse with recurved apex, upper surface green, papillose-tuberculate, lower surface densely rusty-to grey-pubescent; petiole 0.8–1 mm long; stipules triangular, 2–3.5 mm long, free. Inflorescences 3–8 mm wide with up to 10 flowers. Flowers with a dense tangled indumentum of simple hairs. Hypanthium tube c. 0.7 mm long, c. 0.8 mm diam. Sepals c. 0.9 mm long. Petals c. 0.4 mm long, indistinctly clawed. Stamens c. 0.5 mm long. Disc inconspicuous. Ovary roof glabrous; style c. 1 mm long. Fruit 2– 2.5 mm long. Seed 1.5–2 mm long.
