Characteristics

Erect or straggling shrub to 1 m high, with sparse, rusty or greyish, stellate hairs on young stems. Leaves: lamina obovate to almost flabellate, (4–) 6–10 (–14) mm long, (2–) 3–4 (–6) mm wide, cuneate base, flat or the margin recurved, emarginate-apiculate or tridentate apex, scabrid or hispid above, glabrous to moderately pubescent beneath with simple and/or stellate hairs; petiole 0.5–1 mm long; stipules narrowly triangular, 1–2 mm long, shortly connate. Inflorescences to 1 cm wide, with 5–10 flowers. Flowers sparsely to moderately pubescent with simple and/or stellate hairs. Hypanthium tube 2.5–3 mm long, 0.8–1.5 mm diam. Sepals 1–1.5 mm long. Petals 0.7–1 mm long, indistinctly clawed. Disc conspicuous. Ovary roof stellate-hairy; style 3.5–4 mm long. Fruit 2.5–2.8 mm long. Seed 1.8–2 mm long.
