Characteristics

Prostrate shrub to 10 cm high with moderately dense, greyish, stellate-pubescent young stems. Leaves: lamina obovate to broadly obovate, 5–8 mm long, 3–6 mm wide, cuneate or obtuse at base, flat, apex emarginate, upper surface minutely scabrid, lower surface densely silvery-villous; petiole 0.5–2 mm long; stipules triangular to ovate, 2–3 mm long, connate. Inflorescences to 1 cm wide, with 5–15 flowers. Flowers densely silvery-villous. Hypanthium tube 0.5–0.9 mm long, 1–1.6 mm diam. Sepals 0.9–1.1 mm long. Petals 0.7–0.8 mm long, distinctly clawed. Disc conspicuous. Ovary roof stellate-hairy; style 0.7–1.1 mm long. Fruit 2–2.5 mm long. Seed 1.3–1.5 mm long.
