Characteristics

Twiggy shrub to 30 cm high, with mixed stellate and simple greyish pubescence on young stems. Leaves: lamina broadly obovate, 2–5 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, cuneate at base, flat and (usually) folded, apex obtuse to emarginate and recurved-apiculate, moderately stellate-hairy above, densely greyish-villous beneath; petiole 0.5–1 mm long; stipules triangular, 2–3.5 mm long, connate. Inflorescences 0.4--0.8 cm wide, 2-to 10-flowered. Flowers densely greyish-stellate. Hypanthium tube 2–3.2 mm long, 1–1.5 mm diam., the base villous. Sepals 1.1–1.6 mm long. Petals 0.7–1 mm long. Disc inconspicuous. Ovary roof glabrous; style 2.5–4 mm long. Fruit 1.8–2 mm long. Seed 1.3–1.4 mm long.
