Characteristics

Erect, spreading or decumbent shrub to 2 m high, with densely simple-pubescent grey or rusty young stems. Leaves: lamina obovate, 3–7 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, base cuneate, flat or folded, apex acute to obtuse and recurved-apiculate, densely greyish-stellate above, densely appressed-villous beneath; petiole 1–2 mm long; stipules triangular, 1.5–4 mm long, free. Inflorescences to 1 cm wide, with 10–30 flowers, sometimes subtended by whitish floral leaves. Flowers densely greyish-villous. Hypanthium tube 0.5–0.8 mm long, 0.8–1.2 mm diam. Sepals 0.5–0.8 mm long, erect. Petals 0.5–0.6 mm long, distinctly clawed. Disc conspicuous. Ovary roof glabrous; style 1–1.3 mm long. Fruit 2–2.5 mm long. Seed 1.2–1.5 mm long.
