Annual herb, slightly fleshy, glabrous; stem erect or decumbent, 20–40 cm long, often rooting at lower nodes.. Leaves linear to narrowly elliptic, 1–8 cm long, 0.1–0.5 cm wide, base slightly tapering and slightly decurrent, margins entire, apex obtuse.. Capitula in lax cymes; involucre campanulate, 1.5–2 mm long; phyllaries 11–13, connate to ± 2/3, apex acute.. Ray florets white or pale mauve, 6–10, tube 1–2 mm long, rays oblong, 4–5.5 mm long, 1.5–2.5 mm wide; disc florets yellow, many, ± 2 mm long.. Achenes oblong, ± 1 mm long, 5-angled; pappus absent..
