Perennial climber; stems softly velvety with ± patent pubescence.. Leaf-blade ovate, up to 19 cm. long and 14 cm. wide, acuminate at the apex, cordate at the base, silvery-velvety on both surfaces; petiole 7.5–15 cm. long.. Flowers in loose, axillary, several-to many-flowered cymes; peduncle 0.5–5.5 cm. long; pedicels 1.0–1.5 cm. long.. Sepals rather thin, wrinkled and with raised parallel nerves, ovate, 2.2–3 cm. long, 1.3–2.1 cm. wide, blunt or subacute at the apex, mucronulate, softly pubescent, below densely covered with pubescent filamentous outgrowths up to 6 mm. long.. Corolla pale pink streaked with white, 7.5 cm. long; midpetaline areas softly pubescent.. Fruit not seen.
