Perennial herb with verrucose taproot, probably fire-sensitive. Stems 1-several, 5-25 cm long. Leaves soft; petiole 1.5-6.5 cm long; lamina divided up to 10 times into terete, curved lobes; ultimate lobes erect, 1-4 mm long. Scape 10-100 cm tall, openly branched; stems ±curved; heads 10-12 mm diam.; bracts ovate-triangular, obtuse, 0.8-1.2 mm long, tomentose. Perianth 5-6 mm long; limb narrower than tube. Nut 2 mm diam., densely silky.
