Leaves subsessile or shortly petiolate; lamina yellowish, coriaceous, obovate to broadly elliptic, 6–8 cm. long, 4–6 cm. wide, rounded and then shortly acuminate at the apex, cuneate or more rarely rounded at the base, ± shining above, dull below, 5–nerved from the base and with a marginal pair of nerves along the somewhat inrolled margins; tertiary nerves prominent and conspicuously reticulate above, not so beneath.. Cymes compound, axillary and terminal, pedunculate; peduncle 2–22 mm. long.. Flowers 4-merous, pedicellate, up to 6 per cyme, 2–5 mm. long and 4 mm. in diameter when open..
