Plants 120-200 mm high. Corm turbinate with small ridge on pointed base, 8-15 mm diam. Leaves 3 to 7, linear-canaliculate with pale adaxial groove, 100-250 x 0.5-1.5 mm, smooth or ciliolate on margins. Flowers hypocrateriform, pale pink to lilac, sometimes flushed darker at base of tepals; perianth tube cylindric throughout, 60-100 mm long; tepals oblanceolate or oblong, 12-22 x 5-7 mm, bifid or bilobed with apices slightly incurved. Stamens erect; filaments 3-4 mm long, white; anthers 5-9 mm long, yellow. Style 65-120 mm long, dividing between middle and beyond anthers, branches 4-5 mm long, spathulate. Capsules clavate, 20-30 mm long. Seeds angled, ± 1.5 mm diam., black, testa reticulate-foveate.
Perennial herb, geophyte, 0.80-0.12 m high; corm with small pointed basal ridge. Leaves 3-6, filiform, with adaxial groove, 100-125 x 0.5-1.5 mm, with wide membranous sheath. Bracts reaching ± half of perianth tube. Flowers 1-4, 70-120 mm long, lilac, sometimes with diffuse bluish blotch at base of each tepal; perianth tube 60-100 x 3 mm long, gradually widening above; tepals narrowly oblanceolate or elliptic-cuneate, 12-22 x 5-7 mm, emarginate or bilobed at top. Filaments 3-4 mm long, white; anthers 5-9 mm long. Style 65-120 mm long, white; stigma 4 mm long, with spathulate apex. Flowering time Mar., Apr. Capsule clavate.
