Syzygium densinervium var. insulare C.E.Chang

A small tree. The branches are light brown or grey. The leaves are broadly oval and leathery. They are 6-8 cm long by 3 cm wide. The leaf stalks are 1.5-2 cm long. The flowers are in groups about 6 cm long near the ends of branches. There are many stamens. The fruit is oval and 1.2 cm long by 6 mm across. They are red when ripe.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in broad-leaved evergreen forests and on mountain slopes.
