Characteristics

Flowers straw-orange in colour, ± erect, tubular, the tepals joined at about halfway, the sepals slightly darker than the rest; peduncle, ovary and bracts also straw-orange in colour; ovary 2 mm long; bracts c. 0.5 mm long.

Very small leafless plant; roots 3–4 cm long, c. 1 mm in diameter, grey-green, forming a low mound.
Sepals 1.5–2.5 × 0.4–0.7 mm; petals slightly shorter.
