Characteristics

Plants single, forming a slender clump. Roots flexuose, many growing through the air, slightly flattened in cross-section, 50–250 mm long, green. Racemes 30–60 mm long, thread-like, wiry, glabrous, with crowded apical cluster of concave triangular bracts, 5–20-flowered, 1 open at a time in succession. Flowers 3–4 × 3–4 mm, whitish yellow, glabrous, apparently not opening widely. Sepals and petals oblong, incurved, not widely spreading. Dorsal sepal c. 3 × 1 mm. Lateral sepals c. 3 × 1 mm. Petals c. 2.5 × 1 mm. Labellum broadly ovate, tapered to sharp point, distal margins swollen to thickened, c. 5.5 × 2.5 mm including spur; spur projected backwards, c. 2.5 mm long, uniformly cylindrical.
