Plants single, forming a small clump. Roots flat in cross-section, greyish-green, 50–150 × 3–4 mm, appressed to host. Stems c. 1 mm long. Racemes 9–16 mm long; scape 4–6 mm long, thread-like, glabrous; rachis 5–10 mm long, zigzagged, rough, reddish green. Floral bracts triangular, reddish green. Flowers 4–4.5 × 4.5–5 mm, pale creamy yellow, opening one at a time, each lasting a day. Sepals and petals somewhat fleshy, spreading, separate to base. Dorsal sepal c. 2.8 × 1.7 mm. Lateral sepals c. 2.6 × 1.6 mm. Petals c. 2 × 1.4 mm, spathulate. Labellum c. 2.2 × 1.8 mm, thick, fleshy; spur c. 1 mm long, cylindrical, held in line with labellum, with a few short hairs near the neck. Capsules c. 20 × 5 mm, shallowly ridged, round in cross-section.
A rare and elusive species that mainly grows on twigs and small branches of tall-growing species of Leucopogon that occur in a botanical community known as ‘Epacrid Scrub’ developed on flat tops of stabilised dunes. Occasional plants have also been found growing on trees on the margins of rainforest.
