Characteristics

Plants single, forming a small clump. Roots numerous, flat in cross-section, pale green to grey-green, 30–80 × 3–5 mm. Stems c. 1 mm long. Racemes 5–15 mm long, with short white hairs, usually 2-flowered, opening one at a time. Flowers c. 3 × 3 mm, pale yellow to bright yellow, initially bell-shaped then opening widely, ovary and outer base of floral segments hairy. Sepals and petals free to base, widely spreading. Dorsal sepal c. 2.5 × 1 mm, a few short hairs at base. Lateral sepals c. 2.5 × 1 mm, few short hairs at base. Petals c. 2 × 1.5 mm, glabrous. Labellum boat-shaped, 1.5–2.5 × 1.5 mm, with small, blunt, apical tooth; lateral lobes incurved and meeting; spur 1–2 mm long, globose, at angle to labellum.
