Characteristics

Plants single or more often forming clonal colonies with several plants joined together in a chain. Roots round in cross-section, 20–70 × 1 mm, green. Stems c. 1 mm long. Racemes 30–50 mm long, thread-like, glabrous, apex zigzagged and with bracts, 4–9-flowered. Flowers tubular, widely spaced, c. 3 × 2 mm, pale green to yellowish green, opening one at a time; buds, open flowers and capsules often present simultaneously. Sepals and petals somewhat fleshy, fused towards base and spreading only in upper half. Dorsal sepal 2.5–3 × 0.6 mm. Lateral sepals 2.5–3 × 0.6 mm. Petals c. 2 × 1.6 mm. Labellum boat-shaped, c. 3 mm long, with small, blunt, apical tooth; spur c. 1 mm long, at an angle to labellum.
