Very similar to T. caffrum but leaves more typically linear to narrowly linear-lanceolate and only very rarely lanceolate to oblanceolate and the margins revolute and often finely crisped.
A herb. It lies along the ground. It is an annual plant and can keep growing for a few years. It grows 40 cm high. The leaves have wavy edges.
Prostrate or decumbent herb with branches up to 400 mm long, dioecious. Leaf margin crisped, never revo-lute. Flowers yellow.
Petals yellow; seeds shining black and smooth but without concentric ridges.
