A tree. It grows 12-18 m tall. It has a dense crown. The trunk is 23 cm across. The bark is thin and grey and peels off. Young growth is hairy. The leaves are arranged in spirals towards the ends of the stems. The leaves have leaflets along the stalk. There are 10-14 leaflets and they are 6-23 cm long by 2-6 cm wide. The fruit is orange to yellow when ripe. It is round to oval and 2 cm long. There is one seed in the fruit. There is a thin orange fleshy layer around the seed.
