Leaves maturing after flowering; blades usually green when dry, broadly elliptic to obovate, 3.6–8.5 cm. long, 1.7–4 cm. wide, acute at apex, cuneate at base, chartaceous; nerves sparsely pubescent and often drying whitish beneath; domatia small; petiole 0.2–5 mm. long; stipules brownish, usually with the central area blackened and swollen when dry, 1–2.5 mm. long.. Inflorescences terminal on short to very short spurs, 0–8 mm. long, usually towards the ends of short lateral branches or occasionally off the main branch, sessile, lax; inflorescence-branches reduced or ± suppressed; pedicels 3–6 mm. long, pubescent; bracts fawn, ovate, 2–3 mm. long, densely covered with silky white hairs inside; bracteoles fawn, pubescent, present on the pedicel.. Calyx glabrescent; tube drying blackish, 1 mm. long; limb drying fawn, 0.75–1.75 mm. long, divided almost to base into narrowly triangular lobes, sparsely pubescent outside, pubescent within..
