Inflorescences sessile, terminal on leafy lateral branches, also often with axillary pedunculate inflorescences present; peduncles 1–7.5 cm long, pubescent; primary inflorescence branches 0.5–3.5 cm long, sparsely to densely pubescent; secondary inflorescence branches present; pedicels 1–6 mm long; bracts ± linear or subfoliaceous; bracteoles linear or triangular-linear.
Scandent shrub or liane 4–7(30) m tall; young branches appressed pubescent, older stems round to slightly square in section, covered with light to mid-brown bark.
Calyx covered with gold-or rusty-coloured hairs; tube c. 1 mm long; limb-tube c. 0.5 mm long; lobes dentate or triangular, 0.5–1(1.2) mm long.
Corolla white or greenish-white, pubescent or glabrous outside; tube 3–5 mm long; lobes 4–4.5 × c. 1.5–2.5 mm, oblong, rounded.
Fruit greyish-or whitish-green (dark when dry), c. 8 mm in diameter, glabrescent, containing 4–6 seeds; calyx limb persistent.
Seeds light brown, shiny, 4–6 mm across, smooth.
Placenta fleshy, with c. 4 impressed ovules.
