Characteristics

Closely allied to T. mesodon and similar in texture and frond-form, differing in its much larger fronds with all parts more widely spaced; stipe to 75 cm long, lamina to 60 cm or more; basal pinnae to 45 cm long (including stalks 6 cm long), their basal basiscopic pinnules 24 cm long and largest tertiary leaflets 8 cm long, basal acroscopic pinnules 16 cm long; veins distinct on both surfaces; very short hairs scattered on all minor axes on their lower surface, also some between veins.
