Characteristics

Suffrutex, up to 0.33 m high; rootstock woody; stems decumbent, slender, flexuous, thinly appressed-pubescent. Leaves linear-lanceolate, 15-100 mm long, mucro recurved, venation conspicuous, pinnately parallel and straw-coloured, margins thickened and straw-coloured, upper surface glabrous, lower surface appressed-pubescent; petiolate. Stipules linear. Inflorescence laxly racemose, 1-or 2-flowered on long peduncles. Flowers pink. Calyx with lobes linear-subulate. Petals: standard suborbicular, silky on outside. Flowering time Dec.-Mar. Pod 45 x 3 mm, linear, thinly pubescent.
