Characteristics

Decumbent, perennial herb, up to 1 m long; stems arising from base, flexuous, clothed with tawny tomentum, angular. Leaves 3-6-jugate, 15-60 mm long, shortly petiolate. Leaflets oblanceolate, uncinate; upper surface glabrous; lower surface tawny-tomentose. Stipules subulate-acuminate. Inflorescences of axillary and terminal racemes; flowers in ± 3 or 4 pairs; peduncles up to 60 mm long. Flowers magenta. Calyx tawny-tomentose, lobes lanceolate-acuminate, unequal. Flowering time Dec., Jan. Pod stipitate, 35-45 x 3-4 mm, shortly pubescent, beaked.
