Characteristics

Perennial herb with erect stems 1.5–5 dm. tall, glabrous, simple or branched low down.. Leaves short, 1.5–6 cm. in total length (including petiole), bipinnate; leaflets elliptic to oblate, often trilobed, apices of lobes more or less rounded and very slightly apiculate, bases slightly cuneate to truncate.. Inflorescences few-flowered, in young state compact, pedicels in infructescence scarcely elongated and filiform.. Sepals 8 mm. long, white on inside, rose-coloured on outside.. Stamens about 15; anther thecae 2.3 mm. long, prolongation of connective up to 0.2 mm. long.. Carpels 10–14; stigma 1.5 mm. long at anthesis, curved or curled.. Achenes sessile, without accrescent stipes.
