Stipules triangular-lanceolate, 1.5–2 mm. long, sharply acute, subglabrous.. Male racemes catkin-like, solitary, 2–6.5 cm. long, shortly pedunculate; axis evenly to densely puberulous; bracts broadly triangular-ovate, 1.5 mm. long, acuminate, puberulous, persistent.. Female racemes solitary, 3–4 cm. long, extending to 9–13 cm. in the fruiting stage, pedunculate; axis and bracts ± as in the ♂ inflorescences..
