Erect shrub, hemiparasite, 1.0-1.5 m high; stems broadly winged, branchlets angular. Leaves linear, decurrent, midrib prominent, continuous with cartilaginous wing margins. Inflorescences of cymules arranged in rather elongated, lax racemes. Bracts linear-lanceolate. Flowers white. Perianth with tube 1 mm long; segments elliptic ± 3.7 mm long, hooded with papillose, incurved margins. Flowering time Feb., May, July? Fruit with stout, yellow stalk ± 2 mm long, subglobose, ± 4 mm long, including gaping, persistent calyx; prominently 10-ribbed, slightly reticulate between ribs.
Erect herb, up to 300 mm tall. Stems winged. Flowers in axillary cymules. Cymules shortly pedunculate, compact, bracts shorter than cymules. Flowers greenish white.
