Stems bushy, about 8 in. high, much-branched, woody, terete; branches ascending, rather densely leafy, glabrous; leaves linear, acute, 2-3 1/2 lin. long, flat on the upper surface, slightly keeled below, somewhat fleshy, glabrous; flowers clustered at the ends of short axillary branches; bracts and bracteoles lanceolate, longer than the flowers; perianth 3/4 lin. long, with a distinct disc and small prominent external glands; segments ovate, obtuse, 1/2 lin. long, hooded; anthers exserted, 1/10 lin. long; stigma subsessile; fruits not seen.
