Characteristics

Stems slender, grooved, glabrous, much-branched; leaves not seen; inflorescence cymose, dichotomously branched; bracts adnate to the peduncle for about 3/4 lin., linear, subacute, at length recurved, up to 1 1/2 lin. long, fleshy, glabrous; peduncle 1/4-1/2 in. long; bracteoles 2, about half as long as the flowers or less, subulate-lanceolate, subacute; perianth nearly 1 lin. long, campanulate; segments triangular, flat, 1/2 lin. long, slightly hooded, glabrous; disc lobed and well-marked; anthers exserted, 1/8 lin. long; filaments 1/4 lin. long; style 1/4 lin. long.
