Robust, hemiparasitic shrub, up to 2 m high; branches few, ascending. Leaves fleshy, subterete, 20-40 mm long, obtuse. Inflorescences with flowers in dense, terminal corymbs. Bracts leaf-like, slightly adnate to short peduncles, as long as flowers. Flowers whitish. Perianth ± 2.5 mm long, with conspicuous external glands; segments lanceolate, ± 1.3 mm long, slightly hooded. Flowering time Dec., Jan. Fruit ovoid-ellipsoid, ± 4 mm long; fairly prominently 5-ribbed, intermediate ribs and reticulation inconspicuous.
