Liane with sparsely puberulous to glabrescent branchlets.. Leaves with slender petiole 1.5–3 cm. long, and blackish at apex; blade broadly ovate-elliptic, rounded to subtruncate at base, acuminate to subapiculate at apex, 8–14 cm. long, 5–8 cm. wide, papery; nerves in 4–5 pairs, sparsely puberulous or glabrescent beneath.. Female inflorescences of false racemes 8–10 cm. long clustered 2–5 together; cymules 3–9-flowered, on peduncles 0.3–1.2 cm. long.. Male flowers with 9–12 sepals, the 6–9 outer ones triangular, 1–3 mm. long and wide, ciliolate, the 3 inner ovate-oblong, 6–7 mm. long, 2–3 mm. wide; petals 3, narrowed at base, 2.5–3 mm. long; stamens 6, included, free or slightly united at base, 67 mm. long.. Female inflorescences similar to the ♂.. Female flowers with 9–12 sepals, the inner suborbicular, 4–5 mm. long and wide; petals 6, ± clawed at base; carpels 15–30, 1.5–2 mm. long; gynophore 1.5–2 mm. long.. Drupes 1–1.3 cm. long and 0.6–0.7 cm. wide; stipe 0.7–1 cm. long.
