Leaves paripinnate or imparipinnate; petiole plus rachis 32-60 cm long, nearly terete, minutely lenticellate, puberulent; petiolules 1-1.2 cm long, puberulent, enlarged at base; leaflets 6-12 pairs, alternate or subopposite, oblong or strongly asymmetrical with one side oblong, the other ovate, 8-16 × 3-6.2 cm, rigid-coriaceous, bullate, discolorous, adaxial surface glabrous, abaxial surface drying brownish, puberulent with prominent primary and secondary venation, tertiary veins finely reticulate, the apex acute to shortly acuminate, the base obtuse, strongly unequal, one side rounded or subrounded, the other obtuse, the margins entire, strongly revolute. Thyrses axillary or distal, ca. 25 cm long, paniculate; axes ferruginous-tomentulose, secondary axes 14-24 cm long; bracts ovate, tomentose, ca. 1 mm long; flowers in compound, sessile, congested dichasia; pedicels ca. 2 mm long, articulate at the middle. Sepals oblong, rounded at apex, 2-3 mm long, abaxially sericeous-tomentose; petals ca. 4 mm long, clawed, the blade elliptic, sericeous-tomentose on both surfaces; appendages 2, strap-shaped, as long as the petal, sericeous, inserted on distal portion of claw; disc unilateral, sericeous-tomentose; ovary with elliptic outline, trigonous, sericeous, the style short with 3 short stigmatic branches.
