Similar to T. lasiophylla, but stems sometimes twining; leaves coarsely and remotely dentate to subentire and glabrous except for the midrib, nerves and margins; the female calyx lobes equal or subequal, with the lateral lobules longer than the width of the narrowly strap-shaped calyx-lobe rhachis and more densely setose.
