Samara with lateral wing 2·5–3·3 × 1·7–2·3 cm., ovate to ovate-triangular, apex obtuse or subobtuse, rarely subacute, finely puberulous when young, later glabrous; dorsal wing completely reduced.
Petals c. 7·5 mm. long, obovate-cochleate, the lower one boat-shaped, unguiculate, with the margins partially fimbriate.
Inflorescence corymbose, many-flowered; bracts up to 2 mm. long, ovate-lanceolate; bracteoles very short, lanceolate.
Ovary densely sericeous-villous; styles 3, 4–5 mm. long, glabrous, slightly curved outwards.
Sepals 2·4–2·9 × c.1·6 mm. broad, ovate-oblong to oblong, sericeous outside.
A delicate woody climber up to 5 m. or more in length, many-branched.
Anthers c. 1·6 mm. long, oblong; filaments c. 4 mm. long, glabrous.
Stems terete, glabrous or sparsely strigose.
Flowers zygomorphic, 1·2–1·5 cm. in diam.
