Characteristics

Climber to 15 m long. Leaves: blade membranous, unlobed or 3(-5)-lobed, or margin deeply sinuate, in outline (narrowly) ovate, 4-11 by 1.5-6 cm, usually densely soft-hairy above. Male raceme: wholly grey soft-hairy, 1.5-5 cm long; peduncle 0.5-3 cm long. Fruit ovoid or ellipsoid, 2-4.5(-6) cm long, 2-3 cm wide; exocarp papery. Seeds 6-7 by 7-10 mm.
