Flowering axis to 25 cm high, terete, glabrous; branches clustered, angular, striate, glabrous or scabrous. Leaves reduced to small scales or absent. Umbels 2-15-flowered; bracts scarious, deltoid, 1.2-1.5 mm long, 0.8 mm wide; pedicels c. 1.5-3 mm long. Sepals oblong, acute, 5-8 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, 3-nerved. Petals elliptic, obtuse, 5-7.5 mm long, 3 mm wide, 3-nerved. Filaments 3.5-4 mm long; anthers ovate, 0.7-0.8 mm long. Mericarps ellipsoidal, 2.5-4 mm long, 1.2-2 mm diam.; umbo present; pericarp slightly reticulate.
