Characteristics

Sparsely simple-pubescent shrub 0.1–0.5 (–1.5) m high. Leaves: stipules narrowly triangular, 1–1.5 mm long, caducous; petiole 0.2–0.5 mm long; lamina linear to narrowly obovate, (3–) 4–8 (–12) mm long, 0.8–1 (–1.5) mm wide, base cuneate, entire, revolute, apex acute or obtuse, apiculate, straight, densely pubescent below, sparsely hispid above. Inflorescences few-flowered; bracts caducous. Pedicels 0.6–2 mm long. Flowers cream or yellow. Hypanthium 0.9–1 mm diam. Sepals 1–1.5 mm long, persistent on fruits. Petals 0.7–0.9 mm long. Stamens 0.7–1 mm long. Disc papillose. Ovary glabrous (in flower) or pubescent (in fruit); carpels 3; style 0.4–0.5 mm long, papillose. Fruit brown, grey or greenish, 2–3 mm long, hispid; torus in upper third or apical. Seed 1.8–2 mm long.
