Leaf-lamina coriaceous, ovate to broadly lanceolate, up to 5 × 2 cm., lower surface densely puberulous with prominently reticulate venation, apex obtuse or slightly retuse, base rounded.. Flowers in subsessile 3–5-flowered congested cymes or false racemes in the axils of fallen leaves; bracts minute, squamiform.. Petals ± 4 cm. long, densely puberulous outside.. Calyx 0.25 cm. long, denticulate, densely puberulous.. Staminal tube ± 4 cm. long, distinctly curved, and narrowed from apex to base; appendages in pairs, fused in lower half, much shorter than the anthers.. Style ± 5 cm. long; style-head subglobose at base, conspicuously rostrate.. Capsule and seeds unknown.
