Tylecodon nigricaulis G.Will. & Van Jaarsv.

Small, densely clumped succulent, with blackish, smooth branches, 40-80 mm long and 3-6 mm thick, from a swollen base. Leaves dry at flowering, narrowly elliptic, terete or slightly grooved above, 8-12 x 2-4 mm, glabrous. Flowers ± upright, in a glandular-pubescent inflorescence, with peduncle 8-20 mm long, corolla tube 5-7 mm long and cylindrical, pale green to yellow, lobes 3-4 mm long, white to pink.
