Characteristics

Perennials with short, sparsely branched tubers producing slender procumbent branches up to 0.3 m long covered with grey bark with darker striations. Leaves linear-elliptic, (8-)10-20(-25) x 2.5-5 mm, acute to rarely obtuse, terete but flat or with a groove above, glabrous, dark green. Inflorescence a thyrse with 3-5 monochasia, each with 1-3 flowers, with few glandular hairs; peduncle 20-50 mm long, grey-green. Calyx 4-5 mm long, with few scattered glandular hairs, yellowish green; lobes narrowly triangular, acute. Corolla with scattered glandular hairs outside; tube cylindrical, 5-6 mm long, with fine hairs in throat and on lobes; yellowish green; lobes 4-5 mm long, recurved, pink. Anthers 1.3-1.6 mm long. Squamae oblong, 1-1.2 x c. 8 mm, emarginate, slightly fleshy, yellow.
