Sprawling succulent, 20-200 mm tall, often from a swollen tuber, branches at least 8 mm thick, often with scattered, truncate phyllopodia. Leaves dry at flowering, linear to oblanceolate to cordate, dorsiventrally flattened, 30-60 x 5-20 mm, glandular-pubescent to glabrous. Flowers ± upright, in a narrow, glandular-pubescent to glabrous inflorescence, with peduncle 0.1-0.3 m long, corolla tube 16-20 mm long, much swollen in middle, green, streaked with brown, lobes 8-11 mm long, pale green, streaked with brown.
Shrublet, with branched, subterranean, tuberous base, stems erect, 5-10 mm in diam., 0.05-0.30 m high. Leaves flattened, linear to oblanceolate, 30-60 x 3-20 mm, withering but not abscising, dry when flowering. Inflorescence a thyrse, with 1-3 monochasia each with 1-3 flowers; peduncle 0.15-0.3 m long, brown-hairy. Corolla yellowish green with purple veins; tube cylindrical, 16-19 mm long, bulging in middle, glabrous. Flowering time Nov., Dec.
