Flowers 5-merous, numerous, in a terminal bracteate raceme or panicle. Calyx small, 5-partite. Corolla tubular, urceolate or campanulate, distinctly synpetalous; lobes ± erect, longer or shorter than the tube. Stamens 10, rarely 5, epipetalous; filaments short. Follicles slender; stipes rather short or absent; seeds numerous.
