Stout liane to 35 m. or more in length; bark grey and smooth.. Branchlets at least when young densely pubescent with appressed brownish hairs ±0.1 mm. long.. Leaf-blades narrowly ovate to ovate, 7–11 cm. long, 2.9–4.9 cm. wide, at base rounded, apex acute or broadly acuminate (with an acumen ± 1 cm. long), glabrous except for persistent appressed pubescence along the prominulent veins beneath, with about 6 or 7 pairs of secondary nerves, appressed crenulate or appressed serrulate; petioles 2–6 mm. long, appressed pubescent.. Stipules subulate, ± 1 mm. long.. Flowers borne in terminal and lateral nearly or quite leafless much-branched secund vaguely panicle-like inflorescences 1–2 dm. long, each node bearing on the upper side a glomerule of 3–10 flowers, the curved branches densely pubescent with appressed brownish hairs ± 0.1 mm. long; pedicels 1–2 mm. long in flower, 3–4 mm. in fruit, densely pubescent.. Cup and backs of sepals densely pubescent with appressed brownish hairs ± 0.1 mm. long.. Sepals deltoid, 1–1.3 mm. long.. Petals ± 1 mm. long, strongly reflexed, glabrous..
