Stems annual, several, decumbent, to c. 45 cm. long, branching towards the apex, densely leafy and mostly with a short leafy shoot in each axil, pubescent; indumentum, particularly on the lower stem, a mixture of long ± patent hairs and smaller appressed hairs.
Achenes c. 2 mm. long, subterete to narrowly turbinate, obscurely 4–5-angular or ribbed, uniformly setulose; outer pappus of persistent, 1–1.5 mm. long, fimbriate, linear-lanceolate scales; inner pappus of brownish, c. 6 mm. long, barbellate setae.
Corollas creamy-white, 6–8 mm. long, very narrowly funnel-shaped, glandular and puberulous outside with short acicular hairs on the upper half of the lobes.
Phyllaries numerous, densely strigose-sericeous, increasing from c. 3 mm. long and flattened-subulate outside to c. 8 mm. long and lanceolate inside.

Capitula 1–6 on each stem, corymbiformly cymose.
Involucres 7–9 mm. long, broadly campanulate.
Receptacle shallowly alveolate.
